Transformer Skids

Transformer skids provide a common structural base for lifting, transporting, positioning and supporting electrical equipment. Metron Engineering develops the skid around the actual equipment footprint, mass, centre of gravity, mounting locations and site interface rather than relying on a generic frame arrangement. The design can consider in-service loading, transport restraint, lifting cases, local equipment loads and handling requirements. Cable entry zones, bund interfaces, access platforms, earthing bosses and other package interfaces can be coordinated into the skid where required.
